When I got round to creating myself a Behance, I discovered an artist called James Victore, who has done a lot of hand drawn type. 

What I like about this style is the way that it is very imperfect; sometimes that is the beauty of a piece of design. By not worrying about the edges of the brush strokes or the readability of the type you get a raw look that can't really be replicated by anyone else.
